Yag Laser for Iridotomy & Capsulotomy

YAG peripheral iridotomy (LPI) is the preferred procedure for treating angle-closure glaucoma caused by relative or absolute pupillary block.LPI eliminates pupillary block by allowing the aqueous to pass directly from the posterior chamber into the anterior chamber, bypassing the pupil.

Laser iridotomy is a laser procedure that makes a small opening in the iris (the coloured part of the eye) to relieve increased pressure within the eye due to angle closure glaucoma.
What is YAG Capsulotomy?
YAG Capsulotomy is a surgical procedure which is often necessary after cataract surgery.
